Thank you for joining us for Japan Autumn Festival!

Thank you for those joined us for our karate performances on October 10th.

Jundokan HK held a karate performance & mini trial sessions on October 18th, as a part of  "Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong - Rediscovering Nippon", hosted by Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong.

It was our honor to have the Ambassador, Mr. Kenichi Okada, and Ms. Mamiko Tanaka, Director of Public Relations & Culture Affairs from Consulate-General of Japan at our event. Ambassador Okada even tried the board breaking!

Ambassador Okada gave us a speech, on how karate was originally developed in Okinawa, and that karate is a great way to develop ones' character. We are all thrilled with Grace Lau winning karate bronze medal at Tokyo Olympic and hope this would help spread karate to HK public. These series of events held as Japan Autumn Festival are not just to promote Japanese culture but to show appreciation of Japanese in HK to people. (Report here on Consulate-General FB page.)

We had kata and board breaking performances, self-defense technique demonstrations. The performance was followed by trial sessions for guests, and big thanks to those volunteered to try out! We hope you all enjoyed the event.

Well done to all the karate kids! We are very proud of your performance. You very well accomplished our mission of sharing the joy and spirit of karate to the public of HK!

Do check out other events held as part of Japan Autumn Festival!
